Tobyhanna, PA, April 14, 2014 – The Blue Ribbon Task Force (BRTF) recently held a meeting to discuss community impacts, community support and preparing for a potential BRAC in 2017.
The Blue Ribbon Task Force was originally organized by the Northeastern Pennsylvania Alliance and has been providing community support for the Tobyhanna Army Depot since 1992. The purpose of the meeting was to brief the committee on the current financial status, designate committees and gain support from the public, business community and elected officials. In attendance for the meeting were elected officials Senator Lisa Baker, Senator John Blake and State Representative Mario Scavello who noted their support for the Depot and that they stand ready and willing to protect it.
The Task Force will reconvene in the fall.
