Regional PREP Partners and Workforce Investment Boards to Conduct Labor Pool Online Survey
The Northeastern Pennsylvania Partnerships for Regional Economic Performance (PREP) Network and the three Workforce Investment Boards that serve the region are conducting an online survey that will be used by employers in their seeking of current and future workers for their businesses. Training providers will use the survey results to determine what training is needed to match the current labor force with the current and future needs of employers.
The survey will address the skills gap between employers and the labor pool. This gap consists of the needs of the employers for workers who possess the skills that make them qualified for their positions and the skills of the workers in the labor pool.
The survey, which is based on whether the respondent is employed, underemployed or unemployed, is available to residents of Carbon, Lackawanna, Luzerne, Monroe, Pike, Schuylkill and Wayne Counties. The surveys will be available until Tuesday, Jun 30, 2015 at the links below:
Any questions regarding the survey can be directed to Steve Zaricki, Research & Information Manager, at (570) 655-5581 or (866) 758-1929.
