The Luzerne Foundation/USDA Rural Development Shickshinny Business Revolving Loan Fund presented Miss Ashley’s Beach House, Inc. a loan in the amount $13,500 for flood-related expenses that were incurred in 2011-2012 from Tropical Storm Lee, as well as the installation of artificial turf in the outside play area of the daycare. These funds were sourced from USDA funding to The Luzerne Foundation and managed by NEPA Alliance (NEPA).
Miss Ashley’s Beach House, Inc. is a child daycare center founded in January 2005 by Ashley Holmes. The daycare is open year-round Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and is licensed by the Pennsylvania Department of Public Welfare.
