Joseph Chacke recently joined the Northeastern Pennsylvania Alliance as a Government Services Specialist. Prior to joining NEPA, Joe was employed by Frontier Communications as a Facility Assigner working with engineering, deploying and maintaining DSL and telephone service.
Currently, Joe is the President of Forty Fort Borough Council, where he has been a member since 2002. As President, Joe has spearheaded regionalization efforts such as a functional consolidation of Fire and Ambulance services with the Municipality of Kingston and has developed an agreement with the Borough of Edwardsville for Forty Fort to provide Uniform Construction Code enforcement. Joe has also developed, operated and coached the Forty Fort Youth Summer Basketball league, participated in a study with Edwardsville and Kingston regarding becoming their own electric company and successfully negotiated contracts with the police, fire and public works departments. He also writes the majority of the Borough’s ordinances, resolutions and policies. Joe has also been successful in obtaining grants for the borough. Some grants obtained have been used for street paving, Abraham’s Creek clean-up, purchasing a police cruiser, and for the purchase of lap top and desk top computers.
Joe is a graduate of Penn State University with a B.A. in Political Science. At Penn State, he was the President of Circle K and a member of the Broadcasting (Radio) Club. He has also attended several seminars ranging from Police Civil Service to NIMS training.
In his spare time, Joe coaches youth soccer and basketball and his hobbies include politics/government, reading biographies and screenplay writing.
