| What is GMAP? The Northeastern Pennsylvania Alliance (NEPA) is partnering with National Geomatica to bring GMAP to government entities in northeast Pennsylvania. GMAP – Government Mapping Assistance Program is a full feature web-based Geographic Information System (GIS). It provides comprehensive, multi-layer mapping down to parcel level detail and integrates its GIS engine with a powerful, flexible database management system. GMAP is a state of the art Geographic Information System (GIS) that has been developed exclusively for government entities. GMAP uses customized document workflow and data processing methods to reduce the traditionally high cost of creating, implementing and updating GIS files. There is no software or hardware to purchase and you have the right to terminate the service at any time. Fees are attached to various permits such as planning applications, building permits, occupancy permits, etc. which would cause changes to data being maintained through this service.
