Greenway Solutions, LLC

Greenway Solutions, LLC was awarded its first federal government prime contract award totaling $283,250. The small business set-aside contract was for furniture warehousing, storage and labor services for the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania.

Greenway Solutions is a small, minority-owned, economically disadvantaged women-owned small business (EDWOSB) as designated by the U.S. Small Business Administration, located in Luzerne County. Greenway Solutions provides storage, warehousing and logistics, asset tagging, asset tracking, life cycle management, acquisition tracking and worldwide deployment services for military and commercial markets using its very own custom software and processes and passive Radio Frequency Identification (RFiD).

The company came to the PTAC for government marketing assistance as a start-up business in FY 2011. The PTAC has assisted the company with state and federal business certifications as a strategy to position the company for the marketplace in order to take advantage of the government small business set-aside programs. Also, the PTAC provides bid matching services for the company in an effort to identify contracting opportunities, as this one, for federal, state and local governments.

Lake Region Micro Electronics Corporation

Lake Region Micro Electronics Corporation, a small Woman Business Enterprise (WBE) certified with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, was formed by Allison “Allie” Mancino, President and CEO, in 2012. The company has been awarded approximately $62,000 in government contracts from the Department of the Army and the Defense Logistics Agency (Aviation) for items such as: electronic connector manufacturing, computer storage device manufacturing, and electronic connector manufacturing. The company continues to grow its government sales with an additional awards totaling over $570,000.

Ms. Mancino got her start at the Pocono Lake Region Chamber of Commerce where she met with The University of Scranton Small Business Development Center (SBDC) for assistance in the start-up of her business. The SBDC referred her to the Northeastern Pennsylvania Alliance’s Procurement Technical Assistance Center (NEPA PTAC) to pursue the potential to apply for government contract opportunities.

PCM, Inc.

PCM, Inc., is a precision machine and fabrication shop located in Nanticoke, Pennsylvania. The company reported $67,883 in Department of Defense prime contract awards due to the assistance of the PTAC. The PTAC supports the company with bid matching services, military and industry standards and hands-on technical assistance with registering in various government websites.

Military & Commercial Fabrication, Inc.

Military & Commercial Fabrication, Inc., is a small woman-owned metal fabrication company located in Luzerne County. The company accredits the PTAC with approximately $250,000 in Department of Defense prime contract awards for the quarter. The PTAC assists the company with Industry Standard research and clarification and working with the Defense Logistics Agency Electronic Information Bulletin Board System (DIBBS).
