Denise McLaud joined NEPA in October 2006 as the Marketing and Web Development Specialist. She is a graduate of Penn State Worthington Scranton Campus with an Associates Degree in Information Systems Technology with a focus on User-Centered Design of Systems. She has developed websites and databases for several non-profits in the area including EOTC and Friendship House.
Denise has a diverse work history including a career as a Carpenter. Her first partial apprenticeship was served with The United Steelworkers as a bridge carpenter and another was completed with the United Brotherhood of Carpenter's Local 261, where she received her Journeyman's Certificate and actively participated for many years.
"I find great interest in continuing to learn the utilization of software applications as an increasingly effective and user-friendly tool for business, government and the non-profit world. The complement of a marketing focus to my career has allowed me to expand my creative skills in ways that my IT background would not otherwise allow."
