Mr. Kevin Murphy began his commitment to community improvement when he joined the Berks County Community Foundation as its first employee in 1994. During his time as president, the Community Foundation has grown to manage more than $37 million in assets and distribute more than $2 million in grants each year.  As president, Murphy is chief executive officer of the corporation, supervises the business and operations of the foundation and serves on the Board of Directors.

Murphy’s dedication to community improvement was again made evident in 2008, when he was named chair of the board of The Funders Network for Smart Growth and Livable Communities, where he previously served as secretary. Mr. Murphy also served two terms as president of Community Foundations for Pennsylvania and currently serves on the board of directors of The Council on Foundations on its community foundation leadership, executive and governance committees.
