Pennsylvania Association of Nonprofit Organizations (PANO)_
NCAC is a member of the Pennsylvania Association of Nonprofit Organizations
(PANO). PANO is the statewide membership organization serving and advancing the charitable nonprofit sector through leadership, advocacy, education and other services in order to improve the overall quality of life in Pennsylvania. PANO helps charities become more efficient and effective through collaboration, cooperation and the sharing of resources and information. PANO helps charities succeed together where they can not succeed separately. NCAC has partnered with PANO to provide a number of capacity building workshops and community forums for nonprofit organizations and community groups through the NEPA region. The Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) represents more than 30,000 members in 200+ chapters in the United States, Canada, Mexico, and China working to advance philanthropy through advocacy, research, education, and certification programs. NCAC has partnered with the Association of Fundraising Professionals – Northeastern Pennsylvania Region to market and promote several workshops and seminars throughout the region. CreateAthon®
CreateAthon® is a 24-hour, work-around the clock creative blitz during which local advertising agencies generate advertising services for local nonprofits that have little or no marketing budget. The work produced during the creative blitz includes conceptual development, copy writing and design on projects such as brochures, outdoor, direct mail, television, identity and web development, in addition to overall marketing and public relations planning. The event is coordinated locally by CDS Creative, located in Edwardsville. NCAC has hosted the event for the past few years and assists CDS Creative in addressing the marketing needs of local nonprofit organizations.
All non-profit organizations located in the Northeastern Pennsylvania region are invited to submit a CreateAthon® application. CreateAthon® applications are available beginning in the early summer. BonTon Community Day Event
The BonTon Community Day event is an annual fundraising event designed to provide schools organizations and nonprofits with a fun and easy way to raise money by selling coupons which can be redeemed by BonTon stores throughout the region. All funding raised through the sale of coupons goes directly to the sponsoring organization. NCAC has partnered with the BonTon to market and promote the event, which has raised over $63 million for nonprofit organizations since 1999. Boscov’s Friends helping Friends Event
Boscov’s Friends Helping Friends Event provides nonprofit organizations and community groups with an opportunity to raise funding by selling coupons which can be redeemed at Boscov’s stores throughout the region. All funding raised through the sale of coupons goes directly to the sponsoring organization. NCAC has partnered with Boscovs to promote the event by distributing information regarding event dates and times through our bi-weekly NCAC Update.
