PENNDOT BICYCLE AND PEDESTRIAN TRANSPORTATION PLANNING AND DESIGN TRAINING - JUNE 6, 2006
PennDOT, in partnership with the Northeastern Pennsylvania Alliance & Lackawanna-Luzerne Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO), are offering two Bicycle and Pedestrian Transportation Planning and Design Trainings in Northeastern Pennsylvania. A June 6, 2006 training will be held at NEPA's offices in Pittston and the June 8, 2006 training will be held at the Monroe County Public Safety Center in Snydersville. URS Corporation and Michael Baker Jr. Corporation are conducting the trainings sessions. Each training will run from 9:00am to 12:30 pm.

NCAC COMMUNITY AWARDS - JUNE 7, 2006
The NCAC Community Awards highlight the programs and projects that are making a positive impact on the communities in Northeastern Pennsylvania. Entries may be submitted by non-profit organizations political subdivisions, chambers of commerce, industrial development groups, school districts, colleges or universities, social clubs, business or industry, media organizations, and other organizations involved in community improvement. Applicants do not need to be a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization.

BUILDING PENNSYLVANIA - JUNE 8, 2006
Building PA will provide $150 million in funding for the development of real estate assets within the Commonwealth. That $150 million will be matched by private investors and foundations looking to facilitate projects within the Commonwealth. DATA WORKSHOP - JUNE 15, 2006
The Northeastern Pennsylvania Alliance, PA State Data Center and Penn State Worthington Scranton will be holding a Data Workshop on Thursday, June 15, 2006 at the Penn State Worthington Campus, Dunmore, PA. The workshop runs from 9:00am to 4:00pm with registration starting at 8:30am. The fee for attendance is $10 for NEPA Investors and NCAC Members and $20 for Non-Investors which includes lunch. The instructor will be Dennis S. Pickeral, Senior Research Coordinator at the PA State Data Center, Penn State Harrisburg.
