Jeffrey Box
President and Chief Executive Officer
Northeastern Pennsylvania Alliance
Jeffrey K. Box was named President and Chief Executive Officer of the Northeastern Pennsylvania Alliance on May 1, 2006. He began his career with NEPA in October 2001 serving as Vice President and Chief Operating Officer.
Mr. Box stated, "I am grateful to the NEPA Alliance Executive Committee and the Board of Directors for their support and confidence in appointing me as President and CEO of this wonderful organization. We have a very talented group of professionals to lead NEPA into the future with our numerous programs and services with many new program offerings on the horizon. We are pleased to join with our economic development partners to support jobs and promote development within our region."
Under his leadership, NEPA is proud to offer many new and exciting programs for the region including, Government Mapping Assistance Program (GMAP), the Local Technical Assistance Program (LTAP), IMPLAN®, Impact Analysis for Planning Model, a trademark of the Minnesota IMPLAN®. Group, Inc. and the eCOMMonwealth (eCOMM) Program, as well as expanded local government and business assistance.
He previously served as Kingston Township Manager. During his 13 years in this position, he was responsible for all daily operations of the municipality, including financial management, personnel administration, purchasing, budgeting, intergovernmental, public relations and supervision of all department heads. He is professionally affiliated with the International City & County Management Association (ICMA) and the Association for Pennsylvania Municipal Management (APMM).
Jeff holds two degrees from Wilkes University, a Bachelor of Arts Degree (BA) in Political Science and a Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Business Administration. In 1991, he received a Master of Public Administration (MPA) Degree from Marywood University. He is a U.S. Air Force Veteran.
He is a native of Wayne County and resides in Luzerne County with his wife and two children. In addition to his leadership at NEPA, he presently serves as a Board Member of Back Mountain Recreation, Inc.
Jeff also currently serves as a as a Township Supervisor in Kingston Township, Luzerne County.
He currently serves on the Penn's Northeast Board of Directors, the Ben Franklin Technology Partners Pocono Region Advisory Board and the WIRED/Wallstreet West Executive Committee.
