The Northeastern Pennsylvania Alliance (NEPA) provides enhanced services and helps to support our region's job growth. Throughout our region, local dollars are used as a match for State and Federal contracts of current and new programs which assist NEPA and the enhancement of our region. NEPA implements and improves new local programs for our region's needs.

NEPA helps to build relationships with people who represent the region's businesses, communities and governments; provides input regarding business, government and community development and assists the region in creating and retaining jobs that will enhance our local economy.

NEPA is one of seven regional agencies called Local Development Districts (LDDs). LDDs help to coordinate community and economic development activities in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. NEPA’s seven county region includes Carbon, Lackawanna , Luzerne, Monroe , Pike, Schuylkill and Wayne Counties.
